John Fox....he's a proven winner also. He brought the panthers from turds to contenders then you are just gonna cast him away. No team needs fans like you.

I wont contest the fact that Fox was a good coach. I have mad respect for what he has accomplished but the fact of the matter is he isn't accomplishing much recently. You can't rely on past glory and just hope it comes back. He has become complacent he has shown time and time again an either stuborness or inability to adapt. It is time for change.

you sound like a Denver fan with Shanahan. Worst move Denver could ever make. Or Tampa with Gruden...franchises expecting too much. Look we are mid-small market. The nature of this beast is we'll go 12-4 one year and 7-9 the next....

You must be able to see the future because that was just this off-season. And why is it that a mid-small market, as you say, must except mediocrity? We have just as much a right to win consistently just like anyone else.

Oh yeah PS in case you didn't notice Gruden won them a SB which Dungy couldn't do (with them).

and that's my point...they should've never let Gruden go. But because we have 10,000 'coaches' like you here who apparently know the game better than Fox, the right move is to get rid of the proven commodity. Yep, good case.

What is the definition of 'wide open'?

In various games, the receivers have been quite open.

It seems to me I remember seeing Gary Banridge standing all by himself, with not one person within 20 yards of him when Mr. Delhomme decided to chuck the ball to a double-covered receiver resulting in an interception.

I have seen Smith and Muhammed both have at least two steps on the coverage and all Delhomme had to do was hit them. In those cases he either over threw or underthrew, or better yet, thrown to a non-Panther uniform.

I believe it was Steve Young who said, 'Delhomme only sees half the field' and that statement was spot on.

The fact of the matter is, if Smith is double-covered with a Safety and CB, and Muhammed has coverage, then that means the TE and or RB check down are open.

It is true that football is a team sport and that also involves coaching.

One has to ask, with 2 RBs that combined had 2000+ yards, the same returning offensive line, why Jake is asked to throw more than 20 times a game and why it it always has to be a throw of more than 20 yards...oh wait, there was that slant pass, never mind.

I do disagree with your comments on Delhomme, he is paid quite well to 'manage' games. 12 interceptions and I forget how many fumbles, and a QB rating of 44 is not acceptable in the NFL; he has little to no mobility in the pocket; he has little or no internal clock that says, 'ahhh, I've held this ball great than 4 seconds, perhaps I should throw it away, or run, or merciful heaven, put the ball away in case I'm hit.

None of this matters, as the Panthers have no option behind him.

you have been watching other games that I'm watching I guess. Not one 'wide open' receiver in that Dallas game. Find one...I DARE YOU.

I was not at the Dallas game. TV does not show the whole field.

I am at all the home games for the Panthers, time and time again, I've seen receivers break free and Jake not see them, so intent on his first read.

I take it, you go to the home games and the road games, and you see the whole field as a result.
