If you don't have a QB and you think there's a franchise QB available, you take him. Taking the highest rated player won't do you a bit of good if you don't have a QB. JJ Watt is the most dominate defender since Reggie White and the Texans still flounder around because they don't have a QB. Lots of great QBs would be taken earlier if those draft classes could be redone. Doesn't matter what the draftniks say or even what other teams think, if you draft a guy and he becomes a franchise QB then he was worth the pick. The Browns have needed a QB for decades. They can't get cute here because they have #12. Yes, Garrett looks like a potential stud NFL pass rusher but they can add a stud pass rusher to that roster and guess what? They still suck. If they think there's a franchise QB in this draft, they gotta take him.
