Rumor: Multiple Teams Believe Bears Go QB In First Round

For those of you into draft rumors and whispers, this particular crumb may spark some interest.

According to many teams around the league, the consensus is the Bears will go QB in round 3.

First off, this will push prospects down, particularly any BPA player or safety in particular. This may also entice the Jaguars to take a stab at Allen, which would also make sensible the theory that the Panthers are going in the draft not expecting Jonathan Allen to be available.

Theoretically, possibilities of Hooker, Adams, and Fournette being available have increased due to such a possibility.

For those of you who aren't sure, considering they have paid Glennon big time, he provides an explanation:

Thus, what happens is that this increases our odds at having a fine selection of prospects to choose from. With Garrett, Thomas, and Allen likely going for picks 1-4, we may be looking at increased odds of Fournette dropping to us in particular, considering no other teams would make logical sense to take him concerning team needs and fit.

Just some speculation, thoughts, and rumors I thought I'd share with you all.

Doesnt sound like John Fox but these teams are gonna make Cleveland think hard about QB at 1.  Still think its Garrett all day.

I don't think Fox is in much of a position right now to dictate much regarding the #3 overall pick. He's probably going into the season on one of the hottest seats in the NFL. The Bears are 9-23 under Fox.

Fox isn't against drafting a QB high, he just doesn't like to immediately throw them in as rookies. He wants a vet in place so their rookie QB can sit and learn for a year or two, which is what they've done. And as LinvilleGorge pointed out, he basically has one foot out the door and minimal input on these decisions anyway. This is most likely his last season as HC anywhere.
