Draftnik Ethan Young Has "0 [Corners] Graded As First Rounders"

Here you go... Still a bit of movement probably forthcoming as I continue to watch film. This is only Panthers oriented, as I leave guys I don't think we'll draft off (Cam Robinson, Dalvin Cook, Joe Mixon, etc.) and positions that I don't think we're going to draft off (QB.)

I want to get it to 100 or 150 before next week, so I will try to post my final one at some point before round 1.

I'm starting to buy into this Ethan Young guy.  Whether he knows his stuff or not, the Panthers are using a similar formula.  Last year the Panthers selected his highest rated DT, his second highest rated TE, and his 3rd and 7th highest rated CBs. 

Now I'm curious about Rivers, DE Youngstown State.  We've had him in for a visit, and this Ethan Young has him rated as the 3rd highest DE and 21st player overall.  All other mocks I've seen have him in the 3rd or 4th round.  I could see this being our WTF pick at 40.

I think Gettleman will try to get back into the end of the first.  We've had private visits with 8 guys that this Ethan Young guy ranks between 19 and 31.  Meanwhile we've met with practically no one around 40 and 98.  We can package these two and get back to around 30 or so.  Lots of possibilities there.

Yea I really think Gettleman might try to trade down if our top prospects (adams, fournette, thomas) aren't at 8, and then trade back up into the first with a tier 1b dropping.

I remember these mocks - nice work.

The trade chart says Cleveland would need to give us more than 65 to move from 8 to 12.  They would need to give us 65+108.  Our 40+98+108 gets us all the way up to around 27, which gives us many options.  I could see it playing out like this:

12. McCaffrey/Howard

27 Rivers/Melifonwu

64 Henderson/KPass/Godwin

65 Elflein/Dawkins

115 Corn Elder CB who our Guru has as at 64 overall, but is much lower everywhere else.

152 Depending on the above, we can go RB McGuire/Hood or TE Sprinkle or WR Switzer/Dupre

192 who knows.

Note: We have met with or worked out all of these guys except Sprinkle.

Also, he ranks Josh Reynolds as the #3 WR, however he is way down the list on other lists - what's up with that?

After reading this I went back to the slaytics pdf... I found that we are more inclined to follow the True Freak (or tFreak) score. We must have a VERY similar analytics department or formula. According to the scores Butler was the highest graded DT. Sandland was the highest graded TE. Bradberry & Worley were the 3rd and 5th highest rated among CB's...

Listening to Dave and his "Big Men allow you to compete" mentality it would make sense to to follow true freak, as the scores height, weight, wingspan, etc, I'm thinking relative to position and size. Ironic ...maybe
