Every team that drafts well is forced to make tough decisions when rookie contracts come due. Such is life in the salary cap era. 

As long as Cam stays upright we gon be alright.

Not necessarily.  It's a pay for the best years as you go strategy.  Will it work in the long run?  Who knows?  As long as Mr. G is round I would wager a guess that it has a good shot.

Gettleman didn't draft Butler to be a replacement for KK. That is what you and the masses ASSUMED when we drafted him.
