I doubt that would be a base package. But, it's not uncommon for teams to play a hybrid defensive scheme where they have the flexibility to play 3-4 and 4-3 fronts during the game. The Pats have been known to do that in the past. And, Ron is a defensive minded head coach. I think it's good if you can mix things up on defense since the game is so tilted in favor of the offenses these days.

We've done it under Rivera, gotten away from it a little in the last few years.

You are literally one of the most negative people on this forum, so of course you don't agree with my logic. Our receivers are fine as long as we add a speedy slot receiver. Someone that can get separation and stretch the field. There are more important positions that need to be addressed... Like a second tight end

"As long as we add a speedy slot receiver"

So are WR's aren't "fine".

Outside of KB we don't have a single WR worth a damn. Being negative comes with being a fan of a team with a low success rate. The worst part is I'm usually right so... and that's the truth. Y'all just always a year or two behind.

Ealy, Boston, CAP, the OLIne, the WR's, this coaching staff, Funchess, letting Norman walk, I could go on but there's no point. You're not capable of seeing things for what they are and just bring the blind hope, which is fine but then leave me out of this. Logic vs homer, never going to agree.

Not sure what exactly everyone you've been going back and forth with is thinking....but imho, if being a sports fan/fan of a team introduces constant negativity into your life, is it worth it?  I love being optimistic going into the season no matter what!  That's half the fun of being a fan right?  I mean nobodyyy saw our 17-2 season coming.  Idk, I just try to stick to the "glass half full attitude I suppose.  Life's too short.

No, I know we have issues. Which is why I said we have other positions that need to be addressed. I just don't feel like WR is as big a need as those other ones. A speedy receiver thay can get separation would make a huge difference in this offense. Which is what I have said over and over. So mistake that for a Homer if you will..

And you can be logical and a fan without being negative about everything.. I promise it won't hurt you.
