When did we sneak in an extra point for plays over 40 yards? Don't remember that from last year and don't remember hearing it discussed. Not that it's a big deal, I was just wondering when it was added.

Can't give much feedback on that since I let CarPanFan set up scoring and then he had to bow out.

I know the goal was to balance out the positions and I vaguely remember him mentioning the point. But he told me the only change he made was to the QB scoring so that is what I reported. I reviewed the scoring before finalizing it and missed it too, sorry if it screws anybody up.

I don't know if it'll screw anyone up, I just noticed it when looking at player points breakdowns.

I was wondering the same thing about QB's getting 6 pts instead of 4 for passing TDs. I could of swore that I checked on draft day and it was still 4 pts for QB passing TDs. Maybe I am delusional.

We had a thread asking for suggestions on scoring. Changing the qb from 4 to 6 was pretty much the only major change discussed and from memory it was unanimous among the 6-8 posters participating in the thread.

About a week or two before the drafts there was a thread announcing that the scoring changes were finalized. It was sticked for a while. I could look it up but I'm too lazy. Might have even been a group email about it.

No your not. I didnt know it changed till half way thru the draft. I had checked all the scoring rules 2 or 3 days before the draft and it said 4pts. Of course, someone said it had been changed for weeks, but i know for a fact it hadnt. I hadnt checked the scoring rules until just a few days before.

So, i put off drafting a QB till very late and got fuged.

As far as the thread, i didnt see it. Didnt really think i had to check the board for rules changes. Oh well, its just $20.

Sorry but that's a load...there were two threads about the scoring change. One was where a few anyone could chime in with their thoughts and the guy who did the scoring gave the suggestions a shot. The othr thread just stated that the only real change was the qb scoring (and that was posted on august 16th roughly). So at that point the change was made (and really, it was days earlier). it absolutely was not 4pts for qb touchdowns a few days before the draft. This was pointed out to you in anoher post-draft thread iirc.

You did have a good point though that the scoring change thread should have been a sticky.

The rest is bs....you either looked at last seasons site or you checked it much earlier before carpan started messing with the settings.

But, you my be right, i definitely might have looked at last years site, i had it booked marked, and didnt realize there was an identical site for 09. Why is it a totally different site/url? I dont get why thats still up.

To me it was obvious...but then again I was checking it every day, starting threads,sending group emails..., etc. etc. I really thought the information side was over the top so if it wasn't....shame on me. I apologize to those who didn't get the message. I was focusing on getting the league filled out and should have stickied a thread.

The QB scoring rule is here to stay though so at least we won't have to go through this again next year.

Now im pretty sure thats what happened. I went to check rules the day before, and was actually on last years page....so that explains it.

I thought that was kinda weird too because I had it bookmarked as well. I guess they do that so you can look back on previous year's results and such.
