And Bill Voth Pulls The Curtains...

Thought McCaffrey was honest to goodness pure inside knowledge? Well, think again:

Sure, doesn't mean the Panthers aren't considering it. But at this point, @Jeremy Igo does have more information than Voth at this point. One thing to note is Voth says he only gets in this sort of stuff 2 weeks prior to the draft, so it was very unlikely to have solid insider knowledge at this point.

Does not mean to discredit Voth at all. Just means he is just merely speculating before he seeks out the insider knowledge.

At this point, just trust Igo for insider knowledge until a few days pass and Voth gets actual info.

Think it's pretty much set in stone at this point...lines up with what Jeremy and anyone else has said, so not exactly breaking news...

Tier 1 - Solomon T., Leonard F., Jamal A.

Tier 2 (Likely) - Howard or McCaffrey

Makes sense. Was perplexed at how Voth and Igo had conflicting data, but this clears the muddy waters.

People took off with his earlier tweet, but I don't think he ever said or hinted that it was based on anything other than his own speculation, did he?

I could see how it could've been speculation. But generally, one does not say with the confidence level of "gun to the head" unless they actually have sources or solid knowledge of the situation, hence why everyone took this to the park.

Gun to the head isn't confidence. Gun to the head is being forced to make a hard decision under pressure.

I still think "gun to the head" was not an indication of confidence, but merely the difficulty of picking.  i.e. saying something like:

"If you're gonna shoot me unless I give you a name, ok, I'll guess McCaffrey (but I really have no clue, I'm just giving a name now (too early) because you're forcing me.)"

I hate "Draft Season" ! Everyone all the sudden has sources, knows somebody,  blah blah. Nobody knows! And no GM/Coach is gonna tell some peon what the draft board looks like. That dickhead with the goofy hair who is a "draft genius" is never right! First few picks any one of  us can pick. Enough of the "inside" info BS

I would agree with that.

Igo pretty much called the Shaq and Butler picks in the past two drafts even though neither guy represented an immediate pressing need.
