"McCaffery at 8 would be a reach and waste of a pick."

Todd Gurley was the #1 pick on the Panthers big board a couple years ago, recovering from a torn ACL - but we would have had to trade up far, and give up much to land him.
Fournette has no torn ACL and was as violent a runner in the SEC as Gurley so you do the math

I want Fournette too, but we will not trade up to get him. Gettleman will not do it.

If McCaffrey was so great in college, what's he have left in the professionals then? Kid peaked in college

Players aren't as good in the NFL as they were in college. Most great NFL players weren't great college players, because you don't want to be at your best in college - Jordan Matthews is the SEC all-time leading receiver or something, why wasn't Julio Jones, or AJ Green, they are way better pro's?

Perhaps the most idiotic thing I have ever read here.

We don't know what the Panthers big board looks like ... it very well could have Leonard Fournette at #1

AND if that is the case, you're stupid if you think we aren't trading up to get him as close as we already are with #8

If he's the #1 player on our board and he's not making it to pick 8, why wouldn't we trade up I mean come on, we aren't going to be able to deal such an early pick for an even earlier pick anytime soon, any future pick we give up will be a late round pick in Gettleman's mind

Oh lawd,

an offense that scores points? Oh the humanity

We led the league in turnovers forced. Lots of short fields. Not to mention the defense scoring. That offense is hella overrated. We were 8th in offensive DVOA which seems about right.

I'm convinced this guy either has a massive crush on Fournette or he's Fournette's mom

Ouch.  Sorry dog.  I have promised my family Carowinds Friday 28th, so looks like no beer Thursday night.  Duty calls.  Sigh.

Again that's one season.. Shula has been a coach for 20 plus years and his success rate at that is bad to worst.. Would you put your faith and money in a stock that had 1 boom season in 20+ years of exsistence?

I can't tag tarheel and the other guy cause my phone sucks

but I agree we should upgrade and do better at OC. I want Cam to reach his full potential and can't with shula.

but on the other side of that coin I don't think he's totally inept. We won 17 games with him as oc when we worked well and meshed well as a team. When chemistry was good and all 3 phases meshed

Yes when everything is perfect.. No injuries, Oline healthy all year, Cam making play after play after play on 3rd down, the defense creates more TO then any other team, and every ball bounces your way (example Dickson having a fumble jump in his arm at full speed for a TD) yes only then is Shula not inept..
