Until I see Howard in the NFL, his "talent" is a projection at this point and not fact. He's just a solid prospect with a low ceiling. Don't come to me and whine when Njoku turns out to be a better overall TE down the years, whose just a bit raw at this stage.

RB depth is good, but name me another player like McCaffrey from this class.

I'll give you some for Fournette: Samaje Perine, James Conner. Not on the same level, but would have the same concept in our offense. Want me to go to the 2018 draft class?

Until he shows me he can do more than just catch and get wrapped up on simple route concepts, then we can start talking about him having actual potential.

Njoku and Hodges has shown more at this point than Howard as far as potential.

His potential lies in the fact he's 6'6 250lbs  and runs a 4.5 with nearly 34 inch arms and 10'' inch hands. Like it or not that is rare and impossible for NFL personnel departments to ignore. He's a mismatch on sheer physical traits alone and has shown flashes of dominance in the two biggest games of his life. The TE class is great but to say he has a low ceiling when he's almost all ceiling due to untapped potential just doesn't make sense to me. Did you mean he had a low floor?

I may have a source that has told me that Christian will be the pick at 8.  Pretty good source and they are more than confident.

If you want to question Matt Waldman, he successfully predicted Le'Veon Bell to be an elite runningback, Jordan Howard to blow up, and Russell Wilson to become a really solid QB. I could also give you other analysts opinions, but that's for another time.

I feel we could get our "power" back later on in Samaje Perine or James Conner, with priority on Perine. Perine could very well be a steal in this class.

 

 

Man this guy is crafty with his footwork. This was a great breakdown. I'm sure most guys on his site don't understand the importance of footwork from the RB position. He's gonna be up there with Le'veon Bell for the most patient, perceptive and crafty rb in the league off top. We can't go wrong with him or Fournette but one needs to be the pick @ #8! Thanks for posting this man.

He eventually included him as an option on his final mock and then if I remember correctly the night before the draft, finally said he was in serious contention for the pick. My point was that Voth said Shaq was one of the favorites for the selection several weeks before the draft.

To those that want McCaffery, all I have to say is he is a white version Reggie Bush thats a little less talented.  Reggie Bush was the greatest College player that I've ever seen, now he's been a good pro, but never a great one and has been on 5 different teams in 11 seasons. Fournette could be a Great running back, and I want greatness!

His RAC ability and his effectiveness as a receiver = perfect fit for that offense.
