We didn't meet with Star.

The only player he has drafted in the first round and not had in for a visit was Star Lotulelei. Lotulelei was considered by many to be the best player in the 2013 draft and Gettleman did not believe there was a chance that Star would fall to the fourteenth pick, therefore Lotulelei is more of an exception than a break in the trend. One last thing to note about Lotulelei is that the Panthers had two prospects visit that the media did not identify, therefore it is possible that Lotulelei visited Charlotte.
