So we're to just assume his replacement won't be worth a poo?

No, but we can't assume it will be as dominant either.

One thing about the NFCS is that you can't get too comfortable taking anything for granted from season to season.

Actually, we did.

Consider these golden facts:

-The Falcons and Broncos Superbowl was won by the Broncos by a score of 34-19; a 15 point differential. The game was well known for the Falcons sloppy - and horrid - performance.

-The Panthers and Broncos Superbowl had a score of 24-10; 14 point differential. Once again, game known for the Panthers sloppy performance.

14<15. Panthers had a less point differential than Falcons in their catastrophic performances. Panthers held a closer score longer than the Falcons as well.

-The Panthers and Patriots game was lost thanks to a lead blow by the leg of Kasay. The score differential was 3.

-The Falcons blew a freaking 25 point lead against the Patriots; total point differential: 3.

3<6. Whatever the Panthers did in any Superbowl>blowing a 25 point lead.

Doesn't matter how you spin it. Falcons have had worse losses than us by a largeshot.

Also consider that everyone had us winning the Superbowl. Manning literally couldn't throw a ten yard pass with his injuries, and we still lost.

At the end of the day a loss is a loss and a win is a win. We both lost.

having the biggest choke in NFL Superbowl history. Hell, maybe in sports history. Please don't pretend that was just a loss

Not taking anything for granted. In fact I am not going to take it for granted that their offense is going to fall off the face of the Earth.

Won't fall off the face of the earth, but won't be quite as good. I'm expecting like the year before when Ryan was learning a new offense like he will be this year.

I want to believe them. Only flaw is our offense doesn't seem prepared to perform like it did in 2015...

Also the Falcons don't NEED Sherman they have two good corners already, and just picked up D. Poe...so that's really a no-brainer that if they got Sherman they'd be an elite Defense.

There defense is not that good. If it was they would not have blew a 25 point lead. The only thing elite about that team was the OC and now he is gone.

It will fall hard. Ryan and Co want be the same with another play caller and there defense could not hold a 25 point lead.

I can definitely see the logic behind that.  But I think that they're doing a great job of plugging weaknesses.  Not only that I think they have a defense on the rise with young players just reaching their potential.

Lastly...Quinn is a Defensive coach and was for Seattle all of those years, if there's one thing he knows it Defense.

With that being said....I hope you're right and they suck lol
