QBs

Shocker

I'm very confused about this class and the judgement given by experts.

Watson, Trubisky, Webb, and mahomes are better than Goeff and wetnz at this stage.( Imho )

I still believe one will be drafted before panthers, unlike the current popular opinions. 99% of the experts have the first coming off in the 20s.

Watson is a legit #1 overall pick, I'm clueless as to why this isn't shared among the experts. Still take Garrent at #1, but starting at #2 and no franchise QB?? Watson is tops on my list.

I know Trubisky hasn't started many games, but he's got the goods. I'd see no issue with him in the top ten as well.

Webb looks better than golff(last years #1), in the same offense with nearly the same cast....What in the wide world of sports is going on?? So Webb should be #1 easy, but he's not as good as Watson or Trubisky.

 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, Watson finds ways to win games and seems clutch as hell. But, he won't have a team that has such a big talent advantage over the competition in the NFL to make up for his turnovers. The guy has thrown 30 INTs in the last two seasons combined. 17 this season and 13 the season before. It's a big concern. Players almost never cut down on their turnovers when going from college to the NFL.

It's really Watson and then everyone else. He's the most underrated prospect in a decade.

.....not sure anyone who might get drafted in the first round can be by definition the most underrated prospect in 10 years

I guess the reason for the interceptions is my question.  Was it because he sometimes got overconfident and felt he could fit the ball into tight coverage (like Cam or Brett Favre sometimes do/did), or was it because he misread the defense or didn't even see the defender?  Does he telegraph his throws allowing defenders to get a jump?  Or was it something else?

I didn't watch much of Clemson, so don't know the answer myself.  But if it was trying to fit the ball into too tight of overage, then that can be improved upon.  However, if it was because he didn't read what the defense was doing or had a hard time seeing the defender, that would be more concerning and harder to correct.

The answer to that question would tell me whether or not I'd spend a 1st (especially a high 1st) on him.

Legit concern. I believe he was forcing a few to get that heisman. Plus I saw where some accrued when the game was already over, ie tigers up 40-3

Here's all 17 from last year:

No shortage of bad throws and bad decisions. One miscommunication with a WR, one should've been catch that turned into an INT, two that were just out of the reach of his receiver, one where Malik Hooker just tuned into Superman.

I just don't think the guy sees the field very well. About half of these INTs I honestly think he simply didn't see that defender.

About 12 of those where just terrible throws\descions, plus I knows there's a few where the receiver prevented a INT. Troy game looked like he just showed up after a crazy night of partying... Young, pre-snap descions, and heavy passing with little legit practice snaps: life of current college QB. Still if Carolina didn't have Cam, I'd be all for Watson at eight.

Eh I've watched every throw of his college career in real time. He was pretty much going through the motions last year bored with the season waiting on the playoffs to start. When you're that good you can do that. He dominated two of the best defenses college football has ever seen in back to back years.

Definitely the first one
