Lifelong panthers fans in the draft

Recommended Posts

I was watching NFL Network and they had a short segment on a DE that is a lifelong panthers fan. Sadly it went by so fast I can't remember his name.

This got me to thinking is this the first of many drafts were kids coming up have been fans thier whole life? Someone wanting to be on our team based on a love of the team since childhood.

I got to say it feels like a milestone to finally not be religated to being a new team that has few fans and few prospect who grew up watching Panthers football.

Yes! Thank you been bothering me all morning. It's just nice to have a team and players being looked up to on our team that's completely genuine and starts young. I know we have had a strong fan base for a while but this feels different and I am excited for the future.

The Panthers and I share a birth year. We have pictures of our family at Memorial that first season. I know dozens of friends that are also lifelong Panther fans who were born around the same time. Its pretty cool to feel like we've grown up with the team and now that we're at the age where we can start spending money on tickets/merchandise, it bodes well for future fan support.

Not only that, but half of our current defense was actually playing when these recruits were starting out in middle school football.
