"McCaffrey can't run in between the Tackles"

Not sure what you were watching, but the Stanford OL was NOT stellar last year.

I'm not saying their oline was good...I'm saying a lot of the plays in that video showed open holes, therefor allowing him to go untouched...I'm not jealous of their olinemen...I just want our oline to get back to creating holes like that

1st off....style and stats don't go hand and hand. They run similar, they are shifty, can make you miss and are both patient. Something Barry did a lot.  I was never comparing them statistically. That's all on you homeslice. So thanks for diverting and cherry picking something that will make you 'win' this engagement.

2nd I replied because I saw the saltiness come out of your pores, being that I actually don't give a flying fug about your opinion I decided to see where this goes. but seeing as that you are really really getting butt hurt over this, I'm gonna continue until I don't want to anymore. lol.

3rd, what are you the meme or style police now too? Get over yourself bud. This guy.

1. There are different types of shifty runners as there are different types of power runners.. Just because they are both shifty or elusive doesn't mean they run the same.. Leshawn McCoy is shifty and elusives but he isn't the same as Barry either.... Wasn't even talking about stats ...

Low center gravity the jump stop and starts the power and ability to take a glancing hit and spin out of tackles the short area burst of speed but not long speed.. McCfa doesn't run like this.. Look at the build short stocky compact.. Christian isn't bulit like this..

This is more waiting on a hole and expolde thru it.. No jump stops and starts or jump cuts.. He has more long speed than Barry.. These are no where near the same style..

If you're going to compare him to a Black RB this is a better comparison.. Westbrook.. Similar running styles both great WR options both were returners..

2nd I can tell your saltiness by you replying over and over again..

3rd Just trying to help dude .. If I saw some body with bell bottom pants I would tell them they were out of date..

Highlight videos suck because some fan just picks big plays and most are just some freak situation. It would be more interesting to see good plays that didn't necessarily have some big wow factor.

Go to draftbreakdown.com. They have several of his complete games.  They edit it so you just see the plays, but you do get to see every play he was on the field for...both good and bad.  So everything is not "highlights."  That's what I'd recommend anyone unsure of him to do.  Too often fans get infatuated with highlights, so it's always good to see the other side since every prospect has good and bad plays.  It helps us to get a balanced perspective.

This was very good and helps explain what so many on here see in him and why we like him so much.  Anyone that questions McCaffrey's worth and thinks he's just a scat back or Reggie Bush clone need to watch this (at least the first 15-20 minutes if they don't want to sit through the whole thing).  The breakdown and evaluations are very thorough, and shows how good he is between the tackles, and how technically sound a runner he is.

If we do take him, I hope you post this again for those that will invariably blow a gasket.  If they watch it with an open mind, it would alleviate most, if not all, of the fears and concerns about him.

Those holes won't be that big in the NFL. However, that doesn't mean McCaffrey can't still produce. Few backs break as many long runs in the NFL as they do in college. I think his best fit in the NFL is as part of a tandem with a power back (like Stewart) where he can be moved around, freed up to return kicks and punts, play slot receiver, etc.

I watched him against UCLA and he ran between the tackles all day. He is a big play machine as well. I'm sold on him.

Also, I love that he talks to L Bell often for advice. Awesome stuff.

I just realized I've become another Sanjay but with McCaffrey.

The defensive players on that video are terrible. I doubt he can do the same thing in the NFL. NFL players can tackle and you don't have holes like that. He has some good moves but I don't think they will translate that well into the NFL. His speed seems average compared to other NFL Rbs.
