How the fug do you compare Kamara to Peterson? I know they're just trying to say that the vikings are looking for another bellcow running back but that's where the comparisons stop between them..wtf

nothing about this guy impresses me that much. Good running back from SEC yes.  I think they're better backs than him that aren't getting as much hype.  5'10 214 and a 4.56. Not an instinctive runner. Not very agile. 

Pass for me.

Only average inside power and not a short-yardage runner who will create push. Patiently allows plays to develop, but his occasional over-patience will border on hesitant, allowing defenders to reset and square him up. Tunnel vision and sporadically picks his spots. Ball security is a concern with seven fumbles the past two seasons (wtf?), averaging one fumble every 40.6 offensive touches. Willing and tough in pass protection, but lacks nuance and needs technique work. Has only one game in his career with 20+ offensive touches in a single game and hasn't been relied on to be the feature backfield weapon. Immature past and was arrested shortly after leaving Alabama for driving on a suspended license and failure to appear (Feb. 2014). Was also suspended twice by Nick Saban during the 2013 season for behavioral reasons. Past knee issues, including a left knee sprain that forced him to miss three games in 2016.

 

I'm wlling to forgive behavioral problems that happned years ago especially when these kids were like 18 19 years old, I'm just purely looking at football stuff that's a red flag for our offense. If the Panthers want someone like Kamara that bad they may as well get mccaffrey earlier instead he's the best version in this draft of an elusive speed runner who doesn't focus on the power game.

From what I watched on him he's like my 5th RB in this class. If we don't get a RB earlier I'd be ok with him around the 4th, but I wouldn't view him as anything more than a CAP replacement, future #2 to whatever stud we eventually get.

I'd rather get Fournette, McCaffrey, Perine, Cook, and not even consider this dude unless all 4 of them are off the board. I'd wouldn't like the pick if it came anytime before our 3rd round comp pick.

As time gets closer if LF is there he is the pick if not I am leaning more and more for Ross he is better than deSean Jackson

He's got the best balance in the class, and Tennessee was way too stubborn giving Hurd the ball so he didn't really get a great opportunity to show what he had as an every down back.  Way too aggressive trying to get extra yards which caused him to fumble a lot more, and i'm not sure that can be fixed.  Great receiver and excellent with angles.  Probably not a great fit for us but could be a solid pass catching option.

If he stays healthy. well the talent pool is so good at 8, I don't think the Panthers can mess up this pick unless they reach for a OT.
