So you think he can continue to hold up with 20+ touches per game in the NFL? I just don't see it.

Yes, I can. He may not line up at runningback in all those touches, but he'll definitely have 20+ touches. If he were a pure RB, yes, I'd argue he'd have 20+ touches as well, but that's just not the type of player he is.

He'll line up at WR, he'll be faking out opponents, AND he can still power run, finesse through tacklers, and get to the second level to make an impact as a runner. He's got a lot of traits to instantly be a success.

I think his versatility is what's attractive. He will get touches at RB, WR, and ST. He doesn't need 20-+ RB touches while we have Stew. Hell, Stew doesn't need that many either.

No difference than you. You came into this thread demanding respect of some sort for McCaffrey. I happen to disagree. Is your opinion beyond reproach. You brought up names. I countered with nothing but facts.

You countered with segments of facts to fit your argument. The truth is you have a hard time admitting that McCaffrey is a hell of a football player because he isn't 15 pounds heavier which contributes to the fact that you assess players on such a shallow level that your analysis is almost beyond reprieve.

What people don't realize is the 2018 RB class is also deep, and arguably even deeper than 2017. We don't need a powerback just yet with Stewart still around and playing at a high level, so why not wait until 2018 to get his replacement?

McCaffery compliments our offense and creates a whole new style of danger for 2017 that doesn't replace Stewart. We can get Stew's replacement in 2018 if we need to.

So he will take out NFL nickel CBs from the slot? What has he shown that any other WR has. He lacks strength, and that's not debatable. Don't care at all about returns. He touches the ball 320 times in a season, sand he will be in intensive care. Honestly what makes him different than Reggie Bush? Only slower. Much slower.

Watch that podcast I recently posted. Nuggets on McCaffery that'll probably help you see he's got a whole lot of potential.

If we had a pick in the mid 20's then yeah, but at 8? I'll bet all my pie we don't take  McCaffrey in the first.

I pied you because you're going to need that when this comes true.

There is a very, very real scenario in which our top 7 players are off the draft board by the time of our pick.

There is also a real scenario that Cleveland trades us number 12 and something else for the 8th pick to take a QB. McAffrey would probably be available at 12.

i don't really get all the hype about his versatility. Hell Eric Crouch was one of the most versatile players coming out of college and we all know how that turned out.

would you rather have a versatile player who's average/above average at multiple positions or would you rather have a player who's absolutely dominant at his position and has all pro/hall of fame potential

Fournette is the next Bo Jackson. Please be available so we don't waste the 8th pick on mccaffery.

Jesus, Fournette is not the next Bo Jackson. I would like him at 8, but I'm not setting my expectations on a transcendental runningback from him.

He'll be a Stephen Davis type, but he's not Bo Jackson, or Adrian Peterson. Those hoping so will be greatly disappointed.
