I just dont believe in Shula or Rivera to utilize the guy. Sorry.

Gimme O.J

Don't mean to pick on you, but if you feel the coaches won't know how to utilize McC, why do you think they will be able to do something with OJ?  For that matter, why try getting Cam any skill help if it would just be a waste because of Shula, blah blah...

O.J's position is clear and defined.. he's a TE.

McCaff's isn't, I mean the most creative play I've ever seen in Shula's Era here is the patented Ted Ginn reverse sweep. He would be a gigantic waste imho with this staff.

Thank you for saving me some typing...EXACTLY

Exactly, Exactly.

It's not like anyone could have Cam Newton and squander that....oh.

I think Cam just got sacked on another 35 step drop back by Von Miller.

By change the offense I wonder if Shula will have the ball hiked straight to the RB and the RB will turn around and throw a 10 yard pass backward to Cam so he can have time to survey the field.

Or any 70+ IQ OC would just call for 3 step drops and notice this right away.

I pied you because you're going to need that when this comes true.

There is a very, very real scenario in which our top 7 players are off the draft board by the time of our pick.

There is also a real scenario that Cleveland trades us number 12 and something else for the 8th pick to take a QB. McAffrey would probably be available at 12.

After careful consideration and reading in-depth analysis and film, I gotta eat crow and I'll be OK with CMC at #8. He has great footwork and vision, which is required to be successful as a RB in the NFL.

The point I was making is that we've seen a white Stanford RB get hyped up by the media before. Much like McCaffrey.

I don't doubt his talent but he is not the 8th best player in this draft.

Not a single person on the planet thought Toby Gerhart would amount to anything "special" in the NFL. There was never talk of him being a top ten player, and very little hype around him of any.

Perine is very limited in the NFL. Pure power runner with no speed. He's no NFL a feature back.

He's got more tricks than that. In fact, I'd argue he's either the 6th or 5th best back in the draft.

What does need to happen to ensure of such is weight management, which he has shown he's able to do for the NFL. If he manages his weight, he should return to his dominating freshman year form, in which he has the vision, patience, and skillset to dominate.

This video explains this phenomenon perfectly, as he is noticably lighter and better his freshman year.

I dare say Le'Veon could be a good comparison to a transformation, as Bell was 240lbs in college, but dropped the weight to become one of the best RBs in the league.

Agreed, though to give Gerhart credit, he was a 2nd rounder.
