Bush had two 1k seasons and less than 10k all purpose yards barcoding to a quick google search. Going off of memory, he was never that good imo. When we played the saints i was more worried about sproles than bush

The more i read up on Bush's stats the less impressed i am with him. If he was so good why was he traded for a backup safety too? If you want to draft a guy not as good as bush was in college at 8 fine, thats your problem

10,000+ all-purpose yards. All-purpose includes return yardage. 4 seasons with 1200+ yards from scrimmage. His primary issue was staying healthy. He only played 14+ games in five seasons and in four of those five seasons he had over 1200 yards from scrimmage.

Bush's career was disappointing compared to his hype but he was far from a bust and if he'd been able to stay healthy he would've had a VERY good career.

ok sure, if u wanna include returns he has 10017 yards. Wow thats really good for a 10 year career. /sarcasm.

And, because I agree injuries affected his career in a big way and he was a little better than the stats show, what makes you think Mcaffrey won't suffer from injuries? Smaller Rbs often do

It may help to think of McCaffery as more of a slot reciever 1st and a rb second. Sproles and Bush couldn't do that.

I hear this all over the message board. But how do we know that? Have we ever had a player like McCaffrey? No. Do we know what Shula would want to do with a guy with McCaffrey's skill set? Nope.

Not to mention that McCaffrey is a beast. In any system, he will move the chains and put points on the board. Nuff Said.

Thank you for saving me some typing...EXACTLY

Why I like Christian:

1.  He is a Swiss Armyknife--he can pass block, run the ball, and he has nice hands--you can motion him ito the slot and make a WR out of him.  Fournette is a Bowie knife--one function, but it is a good one.

2. He is high character and very smart.

3.  He is marketable--like Cam and Luke.  Clean-cut guys you want to pull for.

4. He makes others better because he is inspirational.

It all depends on what the new offense is going to look like---what we need.  But it is starting to look like Fournette, McCaffrey.

Of course we could trade up and grab a DE.

Just because you don't know football doesn't mean they don't.  Shula has forgotten more about football than any of you couch potaotes will ever know.
