REPORT:Panthers address its need for speed at the receiver position during the draft’s 2nd day

From Tony Pauline:

Staying with the Carolina Panthers, people I’m close with tell me that the franchise hopes to address its need for speed at the receiver position during the draft’s second day. In the past two mocks I’ve had the Panthers taking Carlos Henderson of Louisiana Tech in Round 2, as I feel he’d be perfect in the Ted Ginn Jr. role. Carolina has already worked out Henderson and met with him privately.

This would fit Gettleman's mold. Seems like we always draft a small school kid considerably higher than most think he'll go and t leaves most of us scratching our heads and saying "WTF???" Worked out with Bradberry.

Still, gotta say, I'd love to see us go WR early but there's a lot of other names I'd prefer.

Who in Gods Green Earth is Carlos fuging Henderson.. a no name dude in the 2nd round?

I mean I guess bradberry was sort of a no name to his credit but damn.. maybe with our low 2nd?

I prefer Westbrook or the dude from Viriginia Tech.

There's going to be a lot of talent left in round 2 to be overdrafting a WR there if it isn't someone who fell out of round one , Zay Jones, or Westbrook.

Jones, Westbrook, and Ardarius Stewart would probably be the top 3 on my WR wishlist in the 2nd round.

why are we so fascinated with no names from small schools instead of getting someone that can actually give us production now and help us out?

I believe it's what scouts do. They look for players beyond the 4 players typical fan might have heard of at any given position.

This guy is pretty well regarded if you do some looking around.
