I recall that he was daring anyone to pick Cam.  Hated him.  He still has us taking Dalvin Cook.  Sigh.

Mccaffrey sounds good at #40 but not at #8. if it happens though, I won't bitch and complain. I will support him and hope for the best. because I'm an adult and this is just a game played for entertainment sake.

I'm not certain that they'd take him. There aren't any OTs attractive at #8 but that might be a different story at #20 and the Broncos badly need OTs. Plus, the word in CO is that Elway has a serious man crush on Ryan Switzer so they may be planning to go that route a little later.

I like McCaffrey but he is a late day pick imo. With the 8th you need someone that does one thing great.

Davin Cook might be a late 2nd or 3rd round pick with his criminal past and lack of skill at blocking.

With McCaffrey, you get the same level of production you hope for from any top 10 pick, just in different ways.

I also wouldn't undersell the fact that his RB coach at Stanford is now our WR coach.  Not only is he familiar with him and would likely bang the table for him, as Mayock likes to say.  But he also knows how to best utilize his talents.  So, I'm sure Shula would pick his brain when designing our offense. 

Pairing him with Stewart is likely a best case scenario for both of them.  They would really compliment each other.

Everyone's assuming that all of our primary targets are gone (Garrett, Thomas, Adams, Allen, Hooker, Fournette, and Howard)...at least I hope so.  Basically, the idea is he could be a fallback option.
