Yeah, read around the league and what scouts say. I have no problem with him being white at all. But the track record is there and many NFL scouts and execs say that's a con. Don't shoot the messenger or get offended bud. lol

Not offended by you in anyway. I understand that you didn't say it

It just blows my mind how people think these days.

There's a god chance that by pick #8 the case can be made that he will be the best player available

I think he could be a great pick based on what we've seen above.

Imagine if you had a guy who could be your 3rd down RB, but be your slot receiver on first and second downs -- one that will hit like a running back? I think he can be an every down player, but he might be as much receiver and RB. The guy can handle learning both roles with no problem.

And then, as a kick and punt returner, he'd solve a whole host of problems.

Somebody's going to laugh, but the guy could fill roles like Smitty did in his early years. If he's got half the fight, at his size he'd be a handful for some DB to take down, much less survive.

He did both at Stanford. There's not really a learning curve, he's just going to do it here. Plug and play to be honest.

People forget we still have Stewart which is the bell cow, He'd be an Immediate upgrade over Fozzy, who ever is returning kicks and who ever the slot receiver would be.. He wouldn't need to be a 3 down back, he can be a 3 down back but in different roles. He'd take over the RB position in the third down if needed or Fozzy could and he'd still be in the slot. Pick your poison. Fozzy is good in open space as is McCaffrey.

Would not be mad at all.

He theoretically upgrades multiple positions

PR/KR, third down RB, Slot WR

Can't you see us drafting this guy and then double dipping with a Stewart clone in Perine later on? I can.

Oh I agree, it is mind blowing. The thing that's even more mind blowing is that it's true, if he was black, he would probably be a top 10 pick. Maybe even top 5. Which to me is BS. Skin pigmentation shouldn't dictate your draft stock. Unfortunately this is the way it is man. :(

I'd love the pick if it happens though.

NFL network talked about I power  back offense the Panthers run, bland I believe was the word and the  guy not being a good fit for it and didn't know if his lower body could with stand going up the middle

Their thoughts,  at 8, an every down player should be the choice.

Granted, the level of competition in the pros is much different, but Christian ran between the tackles a lot at Stanford.

PS. Add another plus for him, the gene pool he came from. Damn near every member of his extended family is some kind of exceptional athlete.

I'll pass on a backup rb at #8. Gimme any of the bluechip prospects that will be there ready to make an immediate impact. He might be good in the right system but Im not thrilled about seeing him being run up the middle 8 times a game with no other touches for his rookie year.

When was the last time a Shula-lead offense designed specific plays to get guys in space? I'll wait. Fug no to Christian @ 8, but not because of him, but because I don't not have the confidence that this team would have the creativity to use him properly. Would be a waste of a #8 pick tbh.
