And Howard is the better blocker

and taller

And heaver

And faster in straight line (40 at combine)

And faster in change of direction drills (3 cone and 20 yrd shuttle)

And stronger (BP at combine)

With all of that being said though I think Njoku has a world of potential.

Not sure why they can't both turn out to be really good pros.

Njoku has a much better vertical and broad jump ... lower body explosiveness and power more than 40 times. Njoku with his longers arms and significantly higher vertical (7+ inches) projects better at the catch point.

Njoku also has longer arms and still only had one less rep on the BP.

OJ Howard is 5 pounds heavy but also taller. Not to mention Njoku has room to add more mass

OJ Howard is incredibly overrated as a blocker. He will be adequate at the NFL level ... don't expect a road grader. Howard is the better prospect but I wouldn't want him at 8.

The only thing Howard has on Njoku is speed and blocking

Njoku has better ball skills, WAY better after the catch, better route runner.

Also who ever thinks Njoku makes it pass the first round needs to put the crack pipe down. I'm hearing he might go in the top 15.

Someone with an 11% drop rate is NOT better than Howard.

He had 8 drops in 2 seasons that's pretty average

Howard can barely produce for a coach whose notorious for getting the most out of his players.

Nope. My third option is NOT Howard. The guy is now the most overrated prospect in this draft. I don't want a guy who's soft, has no lower body explosion, can't fend off smaller DBs, and relies on the scheme to get wide open looks. This guy is literally Julius Thomas.

And Julius Thomas was a beast with Manning but went to Jags for more money and had to play with Bottles? Howard>No"catch"u

Here again another team and another crappy qb. He had Jalen Hurts throwing to him. U did see what he did to Clemson when they decided to use him. Most of his catches was short and he made the yards with his legs?

On Tuesday’s PFT Live, former Miami tight end David Njoku told a humorous — and bizarre — story from his time in Indianapolis.

Njoku said that, when he walked into the room to meet with one specific team, the head coach and scouts declined to shake his hand. And then they glared at him for a while before someone asked this question: Where does the sun rise, and where does it set?

Ardaruis Stewart had no problem  producing with Hurts. Amari Cooper and Julio both had average QBs.

Keep making excuses

In a perfect world we trade back and get both McAffrey and Njoku while keeping our two second round picks to spend on a DE and S

will never happen, someone's posted before that Gettleman never traded down before either. In that senario who goes where? McCaffrey in the 1st and Njoku in the 2nd , be more specific

Just because DG has never traded down doesn't mean he won't. He's never been a contender with a top 10 pick in a deep draft at positions of need for us. We don't know what he could do.

In the scenario above, he could trade back to 12-15 maybe, pick up Mc and then bundle some picks to get to 25ish and take Nj. It's possible. But because we have no idea, it's exciting.
