Cook is not an option. Not happening unless he's there in RD 3 and the panthers haven't drafted a rb

Wasnt meaning for us, I prefer Fournette, I just wanted to known if his source backed the claim.

Obviously this is for those who believe what I say, this is general NFL stuff as he does not work for the Panthers, here is some things he has put in my ear. This comes with the rumor I posted about two weeks ago about the Panthers looking to trade up.

-Pat Mahones is a lock in the first round
-OJ Howard is a top 15 pick as most teams have him as a top 10 player in the draft
-Some teams have Jamal Adams #1 on the big board, all teams have him ranked in the top 2.
-Most teams have John Ross as the second or first receiver on the board
-Jon Allen will most likely fall out of the top 10 and may even drop all the way to 15-20 range
-Jabrill Peppers may leapfrog Hooker in the draft, if not, the media is still underrating him, he is a top 15 pick
-Cam Robinson will likely fall out of the first as teams are not sure where to place him due to inconsistent tape and body factors
-Teez Tabor will fall out of the 1st round and possibly out of the 2nd

Hmmmm this contradicts a lot of opinions on the huddle...

Thanks for sharing.  If legit (not questioning you, but this is the internet and your source may be off) this is very interesting.  If not, still fun.  I will say it is:

According to this, Jamal Adams, OJ Howard could be the Panthers' pick if Fournette not there (assuming he would be the pick if there).  That is assuming we are among the teams listed as interested in Adams--we probably are a team interested in OJ.

I would guess that our Big board looks something like this:

1. Garrett DE (no brainer)

2. Thomas DE  (Too good to pass up--RBs, TEs are there later-dominant DEs are not)

3. Fournette RB (I hope we don't move up for a RB---but I sense we will)

4. Howard, TE (I just have a hunch OJ is the pick if Fournette gone)

5. Barnett DE (speculation)

6. Charlton DE (speculation

7. Adams, SS (BPA at an eventual need area--we visited or worked out NO projected first round SS, if that is a clue)

8. Ross WR (we worked him out)

Just a guess.

I could see a lot of this being true.

Mahones seems to be gaining some steam.

I've thought Howard has been top 15 the whole time.

I could see Adams as #2 on most boards.  I would be surprised if Garrett wasn't first on most teams.  Going into the off season I thought Adams was in the second group of prospects behind Garett along with Fournette, Allen, and Foster.  Allen had a bad combine and has some health concerns, Foster had his issues at the combine, and Fournette is a running back, so I could see Adams as being #2.

Going into the offseason a lot of the so called "experts" had Ross as the third best receiver.  Neither Williams or Davis ran at the combine.  Williams ran at his pro day but depending on which report you believe his time wasn't especially great.  Davis didn't run at his pro day.  That along with the level of competition for Davis I could see Ross atleast moving into top 2 on some team's board

Depending on his health it wouldn't be a huge shock if Allen fell a good bit.  It happened to Star.

I would think Hooker would go before Peppers but who knows.  Hooker was only a starter for one year and didn't do any of the off season activities so some teams might be a little nervous.  I could see him going top 5 or top 15.  Peppers is a really tough evaluation.  All it takes is one team to decide they have him figured out and he fits what they want.  He definitely has athletic talent.

Saying that Cam Robinson might fall out of the 1st seems like a fashionable thing to say here lately but who knows come draft night.  Teams seem to overdraft offensive tackles.

Tabor definitely didn't help himself at his pro day.

The more I think about it, As much as I dislike it, I think we could move up for Fournette.  I do believe that he will be the pick at 4 by the jaguars, so we might actually trade up with Chicago.  I could see us package 8, #40, and next years second rounder for him.  If we stand pat, I think Barnett or Allen will be the pick at 8, we're not gonna move up for defense, Gettleman is too good and evaluating talent on that side.
