They like Solomon Thomas or Hooker. But since Trubisky goes 1, it looks like it's Garnett to SF

They like everyone. Adams was one if not he last guy they brought in to visit.

They drafted 2 college 3-4 DE's in the 1st the last 2 years, so Mark off Thomas.

They need a SS, big thumper. See staff cone from Seattle coaching tree via atl. That SS is key for the D, see Neal picked by Atlanta last year. Also need that locker room leader in D. When Willis left everything began to fall apart, kids getting in trouble off the field etc. Adams is one of the best leader/locker room guys to come out in a few years

Do we really value Fournette and a loss of a 2nd and 3rd round pick over McCaffrey, a 2nd, and a 3rd?

I really want Fournette but I couldn't give up that much for him. For me that would be like trading

Fournette / Engram or Godwin (2nd 2nd)

McCaffrey / Njoku or Ross (Trade up with 2 seconds) / 3rd round DE or DB

Don't see SF passing him up.

I feel because teams undervalue safeties, he falls. Defenses start from bottom up so dline has bigger importance. Plus niners have buckner and armstead. Soloman on one side, buckner on the other, armstead in the at 3technique. Long day for russ at the office. So i feel niners go soloman thomas

What if Fournette becomes a Hall of Famer? Worth it then?

what if the second and third and whatever else we have to give up all become pro-bowlers or all pros or HOF at their position? worth it then?

Draft is a guessing game, ideally you'd like to have more guesses.

Based on our Frachise history in the 2nd and the current perception of Fournette, what seems like the better bet?

We should. But it shouldn't be necessary as other prospects closer to Fournette will be available.

Based on history I would say I'd like MORE second round picks- you can't always miss. Regression to the mean states were due for some big time hits.

Also we've gotten KK and Bradberry under Gettleman in the second

Modern NFL is moving away from the power run game. I don't mind Fournette at 8 but trading up to get him is asinine.
