The Jaguars are legitimately interested in Deshaun Watson, internal debate over him/edge rusher/o-line to include Howard. Not a smokescreen like San Fran.

Def could see SF taking Watson 2nd. Say what you want but the kid is a proven winner when you surround him with talent. Here is a know fact though. If the Jags take you, your the wrong pick. They suck at drafting QB's.

What started all the Fournette to Jacksonville talk a few weeks ago?  I thought they were really tight lipped down there.

Simple.

*Typical Mass Media "Draft Expert"*: "Hmm... gotta finish a mock draft in 30 minutes and get some clicks."

*Googles "Jaguars 'Needs'"

*Sees RB as one*

*Googles "Best 2017 RB"*

*Sees Fournette*

*Puts pick as Fournette*

*Make it look intelligent*

Rinse and repeat.

Dak Prescott was a winner and leader in college, but all scouts could see was that he was The Golden Calf of Bristol. They made a huge mistake and he won ROTY. They will make a similar mistake overlooking Watson. He is a winner.

Turnovers is the difference. Watson turns the ball over like crazy. He'll make a run at the NFL single season turnover record if he starts as a rookie.

Cle-Myles

SF-Thomas

Bears-Allen

Jags-QB

Tenn-Hooker

Jets-Lattimore

Chargers-Adams

Panthers-Fournette

not unrealistic, I've got a good feeling this will end up being a Star type situation where we all thought he wouldn't be there and he ends up falling into our lap

Verge I made a post questioning you in the All Pro forum based on the claim earlier this thread that every team has Adams top 2 on their board, and I still find that ridiculous, but I gotta say I really hope you/your source are spot on regarding the Jags. If it's right, Fournette is likely ours.

    • Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.
    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
