Not worth even saying because he's not coming here, I just have to say how much I love this.  A major asshole in a franchise and city so saturated with them, the chickens are finally coming home to roost as their soul is being ripped at its core.

No. But yes to a pick higher than a third round comp pick we will probably get for him if he is still looking for +$15 mil contract. I would love better but that's the outcome if he doesn't sign a solid but not top tier contract and we let him walk next off-season. I'm perfectly fine with keeping KK too and just taking the comp pick the year after next.

 

Sherman has a terrible attitude and would not be a positive cultural change in the organization. His contract isn't that bad for his production so why would Seattle do this unless there is more than what has been in the public domain of knowledge? I know it drives some of our fans crazy but I like that we shoot for quality in character. I'm not really interested in cheering for talented multi-million dollar turds.

Why are some so eager to see KK leave?

He's a very good player and should get signed to an appropriate contract.

It's not really about wanting to get rid of KK just that KK still wants Cox money and Gettleman won't give it to him. If the stays the course, than KK will eventually walk and we at best get a comp pick. A 5 year deal of $14 to $15 million a year is a really good contract for KK.  It's not what he would get on the open market but those contracts don't always play out for the full length of the contract anyways. Or the player up to the contract. Cox did and has. KK didn't last year.

I was hearing on the radio today they want a 1st and 4th. I mean he's a great player but not worth nearly that. He's getting older, has a big contract, and rumor is his head is too big for the locker room.  Even if that last one is completely false, old and expensive plus he's a system cb like Norman make him not worth THAT much in a trade. I'd give a 2nd and a later round pick.
