I do think Kpassagnon is an interesting prospect that needs to be in the right situation to thrive. It just so happens that we have one of the best 6'7" defensive ends in the history of the NFL on a reunion tour with us in 2017 and maybe if need be, 2018 if he holds up.

Kpassagnon's attitude and work ethic is strong and tireless. His 3-cone and vert scare me for a defensive end, and that's not something you can teach. Being able to bend and explode off the snap to beat OL is not something that Peppers can show him, but maybe Peppers can show how to use athleticism to his advantage.

I can see him being just another Michael Johnson/Erik Armstead player or I could also see the environment here in Carolina benefiting him and he becomes a Carlos Dunlap kind of lanky DE that causes headaches along our DL.

Kpassagnon's spider web looks amazing and awful all at the same time. I'd take him in this draft, but "where" is the big question.

That looks awful outside of his body type. Had a decent broad jump but 3 cone and vertical says he lacks lower body explosion

Want him

kid has tons of pontential.  Not normally the one who wants small school guys but like this kid.

has more tools than even Ealy IMO with the length.  Tanoh's work ethic is 1000 times better than Ealy's.  Really turned heads at he senior bowl,  very very similar to Bradberry last year overall.

I suppose you have watched him play?

His body type is a problem.. He's got a straight out of jail body.. Good up top but legs butt and thighs are small and skinny.. Meaning he does't have a strong base and will get mauled in the trenches..

Yeah he doesn't do anything for me either

He reminds me of Shawn Oakman from Baylor

Long lean and no base to get power from..

These guys seemed to get mauled and beat by leverage in the NFL..

you only want sexy picks that run fast.

Tanoh would be the definition of a "sexy pick". He's got toothpicks for legs and lacks the lower body strength. He's going to go early due to his measurements, I just think there's better value elsewhere

Oakman always just seemed to stiff to me.  Bad comparison, Tanoh looks much much more fluid. Had a very impressive senior bowl much so like Bradberry.

Look at those shuttle and 3 cone drills. That's the definition of stiff.

It is But that's why you can't always go by the underwear olympics.  Majority of the time they tell, but sometimes the way they play with pads shows more

if he is in fact That stiff, none of the OTs at the senior bowl should even be drafted.  He looked athletic/fluid and wrecked those guys out there making it look easy.  Oakman on the other hand looked terrible at the senior bowl getting stood up a lot, couldn't bend and flex the edge etc, something Tanoh was consistently doing

Had i only looked at his combine #s alone it would've waived a big red flag,  but looking at film and reading up on his workouts are telling a much different story than a stopwatch

    • Reading tea leaves:  The draft is pretty solid at DT (3-4 DE).  I don't think Wharton, and Brown change the fact that we could draft one. Pat Jones does not eliminate a need at Edge. I think we will draft a pure pass rusher.  We are still razor thin at CB.  Getting Jackson back was huge for us, however.  I am not sure how much they like Evans and Bartholomew, but both (especially Evans) played pretty well down the stretch.  Good enough depth?  Conspiracy theory:  Draft Will Johnson and play Jackson at nickel.  It seems to me that we now have 2 Strong Safeties.  We need a free safety or two. I heard nothing about TE or WR today.  Does that mean we will draft those positions?  I really like about 4 Tight Ends in this draft, maybe 5.  WR?  I think the draft is more of a gamble, but I am wondering about TMac right now. The focus in free agency on defense makes sense.  Evero has types and in free agency, you can match a skill set to your needs with more precision than the draft.  The focus was on stopping the run, and with the exception of Wharton, every defensive player excels in that area. Pass rush is still a concern, imo.
    • If McMillan played for Purdue, no one on here would be interested in him.
    • So with cap space, Jaycee’s deal created 9m in space, Tuttle restructure created 3m in space.    need to see the first year of each deal to see where they stand. Team had around 29-30m in space for today’s deals.
