Its a worst case scenario that's all.  With all the older signings this off season IMO the panthers are looking to make a serious run for the playoffs this year.  Do we really want to push Cam too much with his arm and risk him injuring it to the point of no return? Drew Brees in renown for his arm strength and abilities as that is his claim to fame per say.  Cam also has a monster arm but its not his greatest attribute.

As a thrower that actually is his greatest attribute.

Just came across a link to FoxSports latest (3/30) mock draft. It's one of the only mocks I've seen that has TWO QBs going off the board before us.  (Trubisky to the Jags, Watson to the Jets).

Interesting.

CLE:  Garrett

SF: Hooker

CHI: Lattimore

JAX:  Trubisky

TEN:  Thomas

NYJ: Watson

CHARGERS:  Allen

They have us picking Ross at #8.

But with Adams & Fournette still there... have to think that one of them might be the pick.  It would give us a wealth of options.  I really would not be thrilled if we trade up.  I think we're gonna get a very good player at #8.

I mean if he has some weakness in the arm maybe that's ok-- people have a tough time catching his balls because he drills it all the time. He might have a little less on the ball and that could help people catch it. Might also help with short passes.

Couldn't have said it better. Not a full tear and again, go look at Brees. He missed 0 time after a bigger shoulder surgery over 10 years ago.

I hope Cam is back without a setback and he plays better than ever for the remainder of his career.  All I'm saying is what if he isn't, what kind of insurance do we have if he has a set back.  What's wrong with bettering our run game to take the stress off of him until we know for sure he's 100%

I'll be shocked if we don't pick a RB in this draft. It's a deep class and Stew is injury prone and closing in on 30 fast.

But, the bottom line is that if Cam is hampered by that injury for a good part of the season, we're probably talking draft again before Thanksgiving no matter what we do in the draft. That's just the cold hard truth.

Two years to recover from a partial tear after the operation goes well on Thursday and they are starting rehab on Monday? No idea where you got that, but I disagree. Brees had a much worse shoulder surgery over 10 years ago and he missed no time at all and his stats after show no issues at all.

I read the same thing they said it takes a good year to two years to "fully" recover. I don't believe it either but there was an article out there about it.
