The only way I'm taking a small school guy in a top round is if has the measurments and he absolutely OWNED the competition. Amini was a bad pick at the time and was a bad pick now.

What was your opinion on the Bradberry pick when it happened?

I should have put small school o-lineman***

I have no problem with other positions being from small schools

I'm not going to lie I was like wtf with the Bradberry pick. Small schools guys are tricky. Really are boom or bust. We have gotten killed with small school linemen with Amini and Kugbila, but 3rd times a charm?

From what I saw in the Senior Bowl he won't be ready to play this year without getting Cam killed. I'd rather not take a project in the 2nd. Maybe 64, but I just am unsure about him. If this class had some actual top end guys, I think he'd get pushed down to the 4th. There are just too many other positions where we could be getting a CB, S, DE, RB or TE who in another year would be a 1st rounder/early 2nd. If we take this guy at 40, I'm pissed. 64, maybe. Depends on who we get at 8 and 40. I'd rather see if he falls to the 3rd. He's not that good yet and maybe he won't ever be.

Where a player goes in the draft often depends on when the run if any, occurs at their position. The third best center could be available in the 3rd round while you might be done to the 10 rated corner- (recognizing everybody's board is different). But just looking as us and our needs, I also don't see us picking anyone at 8 or 40 who wouldnt be a contributor right away.  I don't think many rookie tackles shine (outside of our own Matt Kalil) and they would only play in case of injury or special teams maybe... I couldn't see that before the 64th. And honestly I want that bundled up with our 40th pick to move pack in the first round to double dip on offense.

this guy fell a lot over the last season.  too much film of him getting used by small school DEs.  Do not want.

Because the draft is so deep at LT?  cmon.  you guys been clamoring for carolina to fix the oline for years.  Now they are at least attempting to and they get criticized for it.  Obviously they see something in the kid and they are much better at scouting than anyone on this forum.

Watching this guy getting owned at the senior bowl he did not look like a fix for any postion.
