If we actually draft McCafrey I'll buy anyone who predicted the pick a month before draft day or more a free pizza. I'm thinking the chances are slim to none not because the organization has no interest in him, but because of where he's projected to go we will not sniff him unless we trade down, and Gettleman seemingly has never traded down and probably won't trade down now that he somehow has a top 10 pick with a MVP caliber QB and mostly players that were on a team that went 17-2. He's probably gonna be real safe with pick 8 and not do anything extreme most likely stand pat and go BPA, I'm guessing Fournette, Howard, or best DE available.

I can see this comparison, but in a way it's also like comparing veteran Anthony Mason to prime, pre-injury Larry Johnson. Very similar builds and skill sets, but Larry was on his way to being a legend when his career was derailed by injuries, while Mason was a workhorse that gave us some great seasons. Davis being Mason and Fournette being LJ.
