Maybe I'm dumb, but what exactly does #15 mean? Is it referring to defensive players not getting off of an offensive player during a minute drill after tackling them? Or players faking injury to stop the clock? How could you prove the later?

Extremely vague, but it could be talking about the use of timeouts or plays as a means to conserve time.

I doubt that's even going to be considered.

I hope it doesn't get considered. That would be tough to specify what kind of plays and/or acts the players are committing.

Did the Redskins really propose unlimited challenges? Dumb as fug. Games could last 5+ hours with coaches challenging left and right. Defense gassed? Challenge. Need a timeout but out or don't wanna burn one? Challenge. Play clock running down? Challenge.

I read it more like you start with 2 challenges, if you use both and are correct on either then you get rewarded another one until you fail on the last challenge. Basically you have a challenge available after the first two as long as your challenges are deemed correct or until you are out of Timeouts to risk. The moment you are wrong however you are no longer able to challenge.

That is one that kind of bothers me. First off, why even bother having overtime during the preseason? If they want to modify that then how about just eliminating it for preseason since I'm sure even the players don't want to be out there even longer on a game that doesn't matter. As for during regular season, it is fine the way it is and shouldn't be changed. It gives a better chance for a game to be a win/lose as opposed to a draw.

2. By Philadelphia; Prohibits the “leaper” block attempt on field goal and extra point plays. Not okay with this. if timed right, this is a spectacular play that is part of the game.

3. By Philadelphia; Expands the “crown of helmet” foul to include “hairline” part of helmet. Support this, but i know Cam will never get those calls.

5. By Washington; Eliminates the limit of three total challenges per team per game and eliminates the requirement that a team be successful on each of its first two challenges in order to be awarded a third challenge. idk how i feel about this one. i can see the benefit, but ive heard others say it will extend the game even more and i do NOT support that.

7. By Buffalo and Seattle; Permits a coach to challenge any officials’ decision except scoring plays and turnovers. 1005 behind this. needs to happen for bullshit calls/no-calls

10. By Competition Committee; Reduces the length of preseason and regular season overtime periods to 10 minutes. interesting concept. would like to see it for one preseason just to get a feel for it

11. By Competition Committee; Gives a receiver running a pass route defenseless player protection. not sure how this isnt already a rule.........

14. By Competition Committee; Makes it Unsportsmanlike Conduct to commit multiple fouls during the same down designed to manipulate the game clock. DO NOT AGREE with this at all.

15. By Competition Committee; Makes actions to conserve time illegal after the two-minute warning of either half. DO NOT AGREE with this at all either. This is part of the game. And it makes for extremely exciting finishes, especially for fans who enjoy the strategy behind the game and not just the raw talent of the plays.

A sea of red flags.
