I don't like the idea of losing draft picks. Gettleman has gotten too cute at times in the draft doing this, and to be honest it really hasn't worked out. No need to get cute and outthink yourself in a draft deep at positions of need. If you're always trading up, at some point the lack of talented depth is going to bite you in the ass, particularly if the desired acquisition of the trade turns out to be a whiff.
