So I recently was asked to take the Briggs-Myers personality test for a job I'm currently interviewing for and got INTJ. "An arrogant judgmental innovator that is constantly challenging everything around them and is apathetic toward human emotion and relationships." Paraphrased but man do I sound like a delight to be around. It's pretty interesting actually and there's a lot of information about the your type on teh webz. Lengthly but kind of cool test.

I took the exam through the company's website but there are others out there.

Samesies!

i actually took this test a year ago because i was talking to this girl who was a psych major and really invested in this test. then i was talking to this other girl who was also a psych major and she thought there wasn't much to it, she basically didn't have respect for it. if i took it today it'd probably line up the same.

I think the last time I really tried and took it before the other day was back in college (circa 2002?) and that's when I got the INFP.

As I have gotten older, I think I still get the feels enough, but I do find myself acting in more thought-driven ways most of the time. But, I can completely understand why I'm only a 1% T because I probably would be described by most who know me as having a big heart and being empathetic and acting with emotion about half the time.

As far as the P to J transition, I think that just getting older makes me more of a judge than a perceiving person. I've always been a planner to an extent, but I think as I get older, I lean more towards getting the hard work done and then playing rather than procrastinating to the last moment. From what I can tell, P's are likely more the young/carefree type of person. But, as I have gotten older, I think I've become more of an adult (duh!) in that I know the things that need to get done and try to do them rather than trying to avoid them until the last minute.

I think there is definitely something to the personality types. It is pretty accurate each time I take different versions. That said, I think people can and do change over time, due to life experiences.

Your personality type is:

Logician (INTP-t)

wow reading that thing really freaked me out, it was pages and pages and 90 + percent accurate

I experienced the same thing with the INTJ summary. It was pretty much dead on. I skimmed the other types to see if they all seemed kind of correct too but they didn't except the INTP kind of described me.
