Could the Carolina Panthers trade up (or down) for Christian McCaffrey?

You don't need to stiff arm a player that's about 225 ten times to get him down. Also who needs to stiff arm anyone when you can break their ankles with simple moves?

Think outside the box people.

In my opinion, the stiff arm is most effective from stronger than weaker players, as has been seen multiple times, during multiple games. Of course it goes without saying that you don't need to stiff arm a 225 lb player 10 times, but if you're strong enough, you'd may need to do it at least once.

And as far as who needs to stiff arm anyone because every RB in the NFL is fast, quick and shifty enough to break the ankles of all the slow NFL defenders when ther're running behind an NFL impenetrable offensive line...

But if Reggie Bush only became mediocre in the pros, this white, McCaffrey kid is going to be ... better ?

What does race have to do with anything? It wouldn't take a ton to be better than Bush

A stiff-arm is more about leverage than it is about strength.

If both players were standing still?  Then, yeah, the stronger player wins.

Thing is, this is a game in motion.

A fun little scenario: Thomas, Adams, Fournette go...Allen falls to 8 and Bengals right after us seem like an obvious destination..so..

We swap with Buffalo so McD can get his D-lineman.  Rumor is they like Allen.  So, give them 1-8 and our 7th for 1-10 and their 3rd rounder.

1, 2, 2, 3, 3 comp, 4, 5, 6...we could have fun with that.

This is Dave Gettleman we're talking about here. Regardless of the plan going in, if that hog mollie DT Jonathan Allen is there at #8, he's a Panther.
