One thing I do know about Bill is that he doesn't seek "attention" or go after click-bait (at least intentionally) headlines. Bill reports what's going on, why it's going on, and then let's us make up our minds how to feel about it. Rarely does he inject his opinion to spark an emotional response. I didn't see a big deal in it. I'm more worried about the people who lost control over it. They scare me and make our fan base look like idiots. 

Edit: but to simply answer your question....because we should be smart enough to handle it. 

  I can see most of that. And love the way you put it. I just think this could have all been avoided by just reporting the answer and not putting the question out there for no reason. But that's media these days. And Voth, as you said, is usually above that and probably didn't realize the reaction it would have.

I agree with that. Certainly now after seeing the reactions. I don't know about you but the end of July can't get here quick enough for me.

Well duh. Kenny Britt, $8M per year. Thielen, $9M per year. Woods $7M per year. Heck, even Torrey Smith and Kendall Wright got $5M and $4M. Oh and before people complain about Benjamin and how we wanted Smith, Benjamin coming off an ACL had more yards last year than Smith had the past two years. KB's first 2 seasons are better than all but 1 of Smith's 6 years.

We talking about Steve Smith? Cause he had like 7 1000 yard seasons. I'm genuinely confused
