Wow, we must really have like no faith at all in Artis-Payne.

Drafting running backs hasn't been working out too well.

He was a 5th round comp pick. And he's done what is expected out of one. Be better than the string of UDFAs we trotted out there in 2014. And he has. But now it's time for an upgrade that can be a starter. Throwing darts at 5-6th rounders is exactly investing in the position. Something that we weren't in position to do with large cap hits from existing RBs and other more pressing needs.

We might be throwing more mid round darts this year too. We resigned stew and what if Fournette goes above us? Unless we're high on Cook, idk if we draft a RB high in that senario. Don't like Kamara personally. McCaffrey will be gone by pick 40... what are you expecting?

There's a big difference between where those guys will go, and 6th rounders, which are far from mid-rounders. Much higher chance of success.

I want Fournette for any of the reasons you already stated about others. I'm not impressed by this so-called "deep" class. But I feel that we pick up someone in rounds 1-3. I like Jamal Williams but wouldn't take him before our 3-4 pick.

Well then you better pray Jacksonville selects someone else I suppose. Or maybe they select Cook instead. I think the Jets have too many needs elsewhere to pick Fournette, looking like they would pick Lattimore or a QB instead.

In terms of the top 5 or so RBs, I would rank them Fournette, McCaffrey, Joe Mixon, Dalvin Cook, and Kamara. The team won't be selecting Mixon . Even though I don't really like Cook , I'd be fine with them selecting any of the top 5 RB except for Kamara .

"A couple weeks ago I sat back and I watched every one of his snaps, carries and touches. He's still playing at a very high level," Gettleman said.

"He's always in great shape. He's diligent about taking care of himself. This will be the third year in a row he won't have to have an offseason surgery, and I just think he's kind of like a fine wine right now. It really had nothing to do with (the salary cap)."
