Fournette or OJ Howard?

you're basically drafting a back up that will be groomed into a full time starter within a few years.

gotta go with Fournette strictly based off of Stewart's injury history and Shula's inability to utilize TE2 correctly.

Assuming both Stewart and Olsen stay healthy for the entirety of the season, Howard would have the greatest opportunity to make an impact from day 1.

Howard. Fournette is POTENTIALLY the greatest RB since AP. There are too many questions with him in my opinion. He took a ton of wear and tear at LSU.

On the other hand, Alabama limited Howard too much so he has taken on far less wear and tear. He has proved to be a great blocker, has great size, hands and amazing break away speed for a TE. Cam having Howard, Olsen, KB, and maybe Funchess would be great.

We can get a very good RB in the second or trade back to the first for one. Imagine getting both Howard and McCaffery

For the record Howard, and Fournette are my two favorite players and I hope we get one of them at 8. I also believe that Gettlemen will take a DE either way

Howard.

I can't see Shula totally re-vamping the run game for Fournette (I could see him utterly failing if he tried).  And without totally re-vamping the run game that we have been using with Cam behind center for 6 years, Fournette just doesn't fit IMO (as good as he is).

Fournette is the more rare prospect

And in a follow-up to my previous post, I will respond to this by saying I don't think Fournette is "rare" at all.

And, in support of my position, I will propose to ANYONE that watched any LSU games last year that Fournette wasn't even the best running back on his own team in 2016 (during the games that Fournette wasn't injured)... Derrius Guice was.

Are you going to start a thread on why Fournette is not a rare talent? If you've got some information you want to get out there I think everyone would like to see it.

Even the people advocating for Fournette will admit that he was hampered most of 2016 by that ankle. It's the type of injury that doesn't truly get better until the offseason.

Hell, I though the same with Gurley and Chubb at UGA and then Gurley goes for 1100 yards in 13 games as a rookie.
