There will be at least one QB picked top 8 and I'm willing to bet the farm on that. We will get a elite player for sure because there is more than 8 elite players.

when I say elite, I'm talking about players who are actually elite and viewed by the scouting community and the teams as such

not 2nd and 3rd tier fan hyped derek barnett's

Passing up on hooker just because we have Coleman would be crazy stupid.

Referring to the Bears taking Adams.

Well as I said guys, if Hooker falls to us, we'd be dumb AF to not take him. I'm sure he'd be a serviceable SS.

No Derrek Barnett tape and elite production in college hypes him up..

Not sure what rock you've been living under but PFF has never wavered having him in the top 10.  A majority of mocks from the scouting community do.

To be fair, Ethan Young is legit with his scouting. He was on the hypetrain for Bradberry and stated that Hargreaves was not that good either.

Considering that a bunch of other analysts also commented on his thing agreeing to an extent Adams is overrated, with his film showing a bit of what Ethan revealed, I believe that may be the case.

He's done real well at seeing whether a guy has potential or not in the NFL.

I'm kind of confused. Jeremy tweeted our order is thomas-fournette-adams-howard.

Are we not considering Hooker at all? If you don't believe he's worth a top 8 pick then that's fine- but if you are simply skipping on him because of Coleman that's asinine.

A bonafide FS with range can vault a defense to the next level. See the Seahawks before and after Earl Thomas' injury.

I've said this also in multiple threads but there is a very real possibiliy that these 7 guys are GONE by our pick

Garrett-Allen-Adams-Fournette-Howard-Thomas-Hooker

Probably not in that order but if that is the case who do you take? Personally I trade back and hope for the best. The Browns would be salivating at taking a QB there.

I agree.  We get a guy like Hooker plugged into that D it'll be special.  Talking Seattle a few years ago special.  If Bradberry keeps improving he'll be a faster, just as physical Sherman-esque player.  Hooker can grow into a Thomas kind of guy with his range and athleticism.  Luke is a better version of Wagner.  Star & Short (or Butler) holding down the line.  Future would be bright.

Just can't pass that kind of guy up.  Especially not for Kurt Coleman.  Coleman is good but his range doesn't compare.  He also benefitted from Josh having one of the best seasons a CB has had in recent years.  Bring Hooker here under Wilks and I don't think we'll regret it.  That's if the Chargers don't take him.
