Hey if ur not going to use him for what u drafted him or paid him for then trade him is all I'm saying. They have tried to take plays away from him even Rivera came out and said Cam is not going to be happy that we are taking some things out of his control. IMO u wasted number 1 pick and 100 million. Hey think what y'all want to think.

Thats exactly what we are doing is using him.  You are the one saying he should sit because he has a boo boo on his shoulder that CANT GET WORSE.   Concussions aren't black and white, you can't see them in a MRI.   Despite what some people and even doctors say there is no way it was not more of a risk to put Luke back on the field last year instead of allowing his BRAIN to heal the whole offseason.  Its just common sense that smashing heads 1-2 months after you scramble your brains isn't as good as waiting 9 months.  I don't care what any doctor says

He brought up some valid points.

Cam shouldn't have played those last few games, I think we all can agree on that. With the hits he had been taking, his likelihood of further injuring himself was very high so his was just as much a priority as Luke. This is your franchise QB. He is your $100million man. Your hopes and dreams are riding on his arm. Should've just sat him and been done. Early start to the rest and rehab.

I joke about them not liking each other but it can very well get that point. We've seen it happen many times with players and organizations.

But it is what it is. He could be like 90% of America: go to work and collect a check and some of us like the actual job but can do without the supervisor. It's life.

Y'all do see all the crap the NBA is catching for sitting players, right?

Here is the thing. Ron Rivera doesn't know how to handle certain situations. He may know all the defense that is in the universe. But the simple fact is he is not a good coach. His decision making when it counts suck. Player personal.. Allowing a pass play to be called when we are 1st and goal...Ron Rivera is a incompetent head coach.

No what is ignorant is alot of y'all can't see it and want to say everything is ok. U can tell when something isn't right. And u hear reports before the first Atlanta Game this past year that none of the guys looked happy at all. Cam wasn't his cheerful, playful self like he always was before the games. Something is going on and that lead to that terrible season, and when it happens again this year we will just be like who is "Ignorant" now!!!!

Thanks for proving my point about ignorant posts.  There are lots of reasons the season was bad but it wasn't mass unhappiness toward the coaches or front office. That is just another stupid conspiracy theory.

Yes, the Panthers "like" Newton.

And yes, it is a stupid question.  In fact, it's an incredibly stupid question.

No team in the league is going to deliberately sabotage one of their own players because doing so also sabotages their own chances of winning games and in the process would cost them a significant amount of money. The whole notion is dumbass conspiracy theory bulls--t.

If they "didn't like" Newton as badly as some folks think, they'd trade him, cut him or something.  They sure as hell wouldn't cut off their noses to spite their faces.

The whole issue with playing him while injured speaks to questions about the competence of the decision making involved, not whether the team "likes" the player or not.

Yeesh.

Two completely different injuries and situations.

Cam's shoulder was already hurt and not likely to get hurt any more.

Luke had a head injury, and with all the negative PR the league and sport has received in regards to concussions, it made more sense to sit him out longer term because another head injury is not only career threatening, but life threatening as well.

So while they were both injured, Luke's injury had a much more serious concern and negative connotations associated with it.

Obviously a concussion is more severe, but when your franchise QB has a tear of any kind in his throwing shoulder, that's a very serious matter.

I was fine with him playing based on the provided information that there was no tear or damage. But then we find out now that there was a tear. This whole thing reeks of incompetence, and it's not the first time an injury has played out this way, it happened with his ankle a few years back as well. Accountability is needed.
