As if there was any doubt to TD's love for the Panthers

Im sure a few of you have Instagram and caught Philly Brown posting this:

Davis responded to make sure Philly didn't forget where he got his start:

Why doesn't this man have a statue yet?  He bleeds black and blue.

It seems interesting to me that almost anyone who leaves recently have some poo to say when they leave.

Right, wrong, or indifferent  you have to take note of that.

Are these guys really so shut down and pigeon holed into quietness that they can't ever say what they really want while they are here or is this just normal...I don't care nor do I follow prior player postings or rumblings on their former team unless they came here from somewhere else.

I see what you're saying but I think it's bullshit. CJ has been through his share of ups and downs, and gaffes (Falcons hat?) but he got through it and has cemented himself as a loyal career Panther that no one can question.

I think it's more guys are legitimately upset they had to leave tbh.

Yea we also released the "bad ass trouble making" Jason Avant too for saying any little thing. "Opportunities for the younger players" reminds me of corporate speak.

But yea I just find that interesting.

It's called getting butt hurt when you are shown the door. It happens all over the league. Our recent FA splurge contradicts the narrative by some that no one wants to come here.
I will say this though, it seems to be Gettleman's pet peeve when players try to make their case in public and/or through public media.

Literally just sat here and said "dammnnnnnnnnn" over and over again. This is a great response. He deserves to have his own statue outside of BoA with his number retired... he embodies the entire Keep Pounding montra almost as much as Sam Mills himself. The GOAT Panther; tied with Smitty of course.

Jason Avant was cut because he said something stupid and he was terrible. We were a substantially better team after we cut him (4-1) than before we cut him (3-7-1) and he hasn't done anything of note since.

Does it?  I hope it's a good sign moving forward but not sure this FA class does anything alleviate those concerns.

The FA class is made up of two former panthers recruited heavily by former teammates (and have ties to the Carolinas), an OT recruited by his big brother, another CJ that was in Captains' wedding (or vice versa).

Adams and Sheppard chose to come here with little or no connection to the team and Sheppard definitely had options, not sure about Adams' options.

You would have thought last year would have been the year that a few solid vets would want to come here and play for a championship but that is one thing this team was sorely lacking, veteran leadership.

Hope that narrative is proved false in the coming years but not sure this year does much to dispel it.

How many of us wouldn't throw shade at a former employer or company that laid us off or fired us?

After paying me what would be a kings ransom in a salary (more money then I, and probably most rookies have ever seen)...it'd be hard to hate them.
