Now I'm craving BBQ.. And after the knights just announced they're going to be the pitmasters for a game this year. The logo is a freakin BBQ sandwich holding a bat. I had to get a hat with that on it. I know @SCPdid too

It depends on if you're looking for pulled pork, ribs, or brisket.....Midwood probably has the best pulled pork (and sauces) and brisket (in the City)....Mac's probably has the best ribs (they won the Que City BBQ contest for best ribs last year).  If you want best in the "area" then head to Lexington and be prepared to wait.  I have also heard that Kyle Fletcher's BBQ in Gastonia is really good to (cash only FYI).

All their sides are good to be honest.  The Brunswick Stew is the best I've had anywhere and I've lived all over NC from the coast to the mountains.

I honestly think Lexington BBQ isn't very good. Too institutional with not enough smoke or bark for me. And the sides are like cafeteria food. 

I'm open to suggestions of which are the best.

For real BBQ, go to Lexington or Bridges BBQ Lodge in Shelby.  Now i'm hungry.

 

I used to stop at this place every time i went to see customers up that way.
