Everett Brown could be a wasted pick..

For all of you, "WE WANT COWHER" fans, like my self at this point ( love FOX but im sick of the conservative poo! ) just remember that Cowher assuming he's here next year brings a 3-4 defense with him, which will change a lot of our personal on defense. Everette Brown instantly becomes our Glenn Dorsey because the guy just has NO place in a 3-4 defense. Thats equal to losing 2 first rounders because you cant even trade him for poo... Just pointing out the obvious, but something to ponder.

Depending on his footspeed he could possibly play outside LB.

He is similar size to James Harrison.

No im not thinking about what first rounder we could get next year, im thinking about how wasted Brown becomes if we move to a 3-4, unless like Kurb said the guy can play outside. Highly doubtful..but im sure they will try it with the investment already there..

Brandon Spikes would be the prototype Middle Linebacker for a 3-4 defense, I'm sure Cowher would love to grab him. Him and Beason in the middle, both passionate about the game. Could be nasty.

A wasted pick? So what? What's he doing for us this year? I'm more concerned with winning than basing our coach choice on whether or not our 2009 2nd round draft pick fits in with his scheme. A number of players won't, and they can help Everett pack.

I could see Brown play outside LB in a 3-4, used alot and passing downs to rush from the outside, he's small to begin with for a traditional 4-3 DE. I wouldn't say its a wasted pick.
