See I don't have the problem with Allen like some do, transitioning from a 3-4 to a 4-3 is much easier then the other way around. Especially for D-Linemen.

Allen if not for the shoulder concerns, would be a top 5 pick and the second overall DL in a draft that's got nothing but DL studs it seems.

id rather have Fournette but wouldn't be mad with Allen.

I was ahead of everyone about Allen falling, before the combine came and his shoulders got flagged..... Wouldn't shock me to see him fall out of first round. That said id disagree, I'd take Reuben foster in the top 20. Even top ten, easy. But I cannot disagree with Nick using up these kids, they all seem to play through injuries. Most seem to be damage goods, Nick must threaten their families to make them play.

I hope we stay away from Allen completely. Can't take anybody serious who is fine with another DT for a first round pick. So many other ways we should go. If allen starts dropping, he is dropping for a reason.

watching the felt like I was getting raped up the ass with a football, because that's what was happening to us on the field. Right up the middle for 10 yards a pop.. If there's ever a position to be strong and deep at, its our Defense's butthole.

I like being able to sleep at night knowing we are strong at that position.. Knowing we aren't going to get pounded helplessly right up the middle

 

 

I like watching our team score too. You can only play so many DTs and LBs. To each their own.

Ok so after snooping on a few jaguars forums we better hope they take a QB, because the two main topics of draft discussion that I could find is that they  1. want to draft Fournette, and 2. talking about whether or not they want to give Bortles another year.

pray Jacksonville goes QB because the fans aren't interested in anyone but Fournette.

I don't think Fournette or Howard will be there at 8..think JAX takes him if he even makes it that far..I think we could go with Dalvin Cook at 8 with Fournette gone..We need some offensive weapons and Stewart only has a few more years in him...So Cook is my next option unless Geyy takes BPA and does something crazy and trade back to the 1st to get Cook

Who picks up Howard?? The jets Jump at a QB if one lands in their lap which will happen if Jax goes Fournette

IMO, there are two reasons for this. 1. Bama is stacked. If you lose your job, you may not get it back. As a result, kids will gloss over injuries, and will drive themselves hard to keep that job. So in a sense. The competition drives these kids to go above and beyond. Wearing them out quicker than other programs.

 

That, and yeah, Nick drives his kids relentlessly. But kids know that going in.
