Who will gives us a immedient impact??

A TE to add with Olsen in a 12 personal offense sorta like we had with Olsen and Shockey..

Or

A true number 1 WR added with KB and Funch to go with a spread and help add a short passing game...

after changing my mind many times all i see is multiple opportunities in rd 1... RB,DE,WR,TE,S...right now I feel we could afford to roll the dice on Ross...but my head says Solomon Thomas would be the best move...the good news is one of these is going to be there...

Even the measured impact would be minimal on both spectrums. Howard would be behind Olsen and Dickson or some other tight end. Davis would be behind KB, FUNCH, X, X player.

It would be a question on who would be ABLE to make that impact, which again would be marginal.

In this scenario Davis would have more potential. IF he takes that #1 spot from OLSEN, not KB. Everyone that seen the panthers knows that Olsen is THE go to guy in this offense. Then KB.

Howard would have to work his way up and beat out #2 TE and the #1 WR right now which is KB for balls. Cam spreads the ball around a lot.

Out of the two I believe Davis would make more of an impact. Simply because i believe he could beat out Funch for that #2 spot, you work him outside like Ginn (if he runs a 4.4, which he hasn't, he missed his pro day and Combine).

Both prospects are relative unknowns. The impact would be marginal for the roles they would potentially have.

Also, naming Davis a 'true #1' wide out without him being in the NFL is asinine to me. :/

Agree with Wow.

I love Howard as a prospect, along with Thomas, Adams and Fournette. Maybe Hooker as well.

But the last thing we should do in a draft this deep is trade up. This is the year to sit pat and take the best player available. There is too much talent to go chasing individual players.

I can see your point but we can load up on rookies next year when we tank on purpose again. This year we need impact players more than rookies because it's SuperBowl or bust with the way this roster is constructed. BTW born in Chicagoland and yes, Ditka is the man.

You can still get both staying where we at because we have 4 picks in the top 100 and 3 in the top 64..

Your plan doesn't work becuase you don't know the talent pool next draft.. And you don't know if we will have high picks (hopefully not) again..

If Howard is drafted Dickson won't be here long after that.. Plus we will base offense in 12 personal.. So Howard should get enough playing time..
