During the Sugar Bowl, when Oklahoma was beating the holy crap out of my Auburn Tigers, he and his teammates doing pretend punch-outs on the sideline for funs and giggles sure didn't make it look like he had any regrets.

But NOW, a little over 2 months later, we're all of a sudden expected to buy into his sincerity... lol.

You're really reaching with this one, but okay.

Listen smart guy, "physically assaulted first" is probably one of the most hilariously dumb things. Have you ever heard of anything called proportional reaction to a threat? If a child comes up and shoves you in the leg, you can't legally punt the kid across the room. Why? Because your response was not proportional to the level of threat you encountered. Self defense only applies when you feel there is a real danger and the only option that remains is to act first so that you're not physically harmed. Do you believe Joe Mixon was under any form of threat in that video? Can you watch it and say "Yeah, he was in danger. That was a reasonable reaction." If not, it's not self defense. You're talking about a full grown freak athlete giving his best punch to a woman. There's no reason someone raised properly would do that. None.

If this dude couldn't run fast, 80% of the Huddle would want him lynched. Instead, we're sitting here arguing on if he should have the honor to put the jersey on for this team and say he's a Panther. Seriously. If you posted this video without context in other parts of the forum and nobody had any idea who Joe Mixon was, people would be saying "thug shouldn't ever see freedom again" and "if that was my sister, I would have killed that boy." Now you want to cheer for him. Interesting choice.

He wasn't raised right? So it's right to raise your daughter to hit men? Both were wrong in that situation. Just because he's bigger and stronger it makes him more wrong? Keep in mind we live in a society where George Zimmerman killed a kid and walked away because the kid "hit him first" meanwhile we're going to put Joe Mixon through hell because he had a reflex to an action against him? He ain't beat her he reacted and walked away. I have a daughter, and I raise her to keep her hands to herself. I hate how we make this kid out to be some damn monster man, it's not fair to him. We all have skeletons and stuff we ain't proud of.I'm not with judging someone solely on displaying pure judgement in a split second.

So it's totally fair to the girl who's face he broke and who's college career at Oklahoma he ruined because she stood up for her friend that he was using hate speech against?

He followed a dude into a bar after taunting him (w/ teammates) using homophobic slurs, the person being harassed responded with an ethnic slur, Mixon got more aggressive, Molitor pushed him, he bucked at her threateningly, she slapped him, and then he broke several bones in his face.

Can we please quit this bullshit trivialization of what he did and acknowledge he was a scumbag? His justification was "It felt like a man hit me." FOH Joe. We all saw it. If that felt like a man hitting him, he'll shatter like RG3 when an NFL LB blasts him.

Seriously, I'm about to just start posting the video in every Joe Mixon thread until people start to at least be honest with themselves and admit that they're ok with beating the poo out of women so long as TDs are scored.

He followed them into the restaurant and no one kept him from leaving. Are we watching the same video?

With all due respect, i guess we just don't see the same things going on in that video.  As I've said a million times before at various points on this board, i don't ever condone hitting women for any reason.  But, there is a difference between a woman beater and someone who reacts violently to violence in a split second.  If I were Mixon, I wouldve walked out of there even after she slapped/punched me.  But, I'm not Joe Mixon.  I don't have droves of people measuring me on my physical prowess above all else and expecting me to protect that image at all times.

I also just don't understand the double standard.  A man should never hit a woman, but I also expect a woman to carry herself in such a manner that she isn't using her femininity as a hall pass to hit men and then cry victim.

As i acknowledged in my lengthy response to vagrant, i believe Mixon went in there to get the last word after they had been arguing outside and she and her friend likely embarrased him in front of his friends...  that's my gut feeling.  But, again, he did appear to try to walk out after whatever he said and she pushed him.  He then jumped at her and said to not touch him and appeared to be walking back and she then hit him in the face when emotions were running high.  If he was bullying or harrassing them, there were a million other ways they couldve handled it that didnt end in a physical altercation.

Y'all going to bat for somebody that's bitch made.

He said it felt like a man hit him when a 5'6" 130lbs woman slapped him when he was 6'2" 210lbs.

If that ain't some of the frailest poo I've ever heard -_-

An actual female is going to bat for him too.  So are two more females that both are just as intelligent as the female on here that I know.  They both stated "you can't have it both ways."  That's assault regardless.  You're killing me dude.

There's more than just that video at this point. You can watch the interrogation as well as find summaries of it. That's how I was able to debunk the myth that she had spit on him.

You're approaching this from the perspective that his version of the story is what happened. This is an implicit bias, as you aren't operating under the same assumption for Molitor.

You cannot truly focus on "she hit him first" without acknowledging the hate speech that preceded. If we're going to approve of folks being assaulted for using hate speech in public but then suddenly act like she's out of line when she slaps him.

I want to keep punching Nazis dammit. So how about the next time we talk about a double standard for women, we acknowledge the double standard being put on Molitor in this situation.

You aren't going to get any sympathy from blacks in regards to hate speech. The altercation was verbal until she escalated it to a physical altercation. Had he walked away would she have been charged for assault? Nah would have been swept under the rug no big deal.
