they need to do what's best for him and the team and cut ties with him. Offer him a position with the organization but let's be real about this thing.

I don't care about his contract. I can foresee him being worse than Remmers on the right side. Daryl Williams needs to beat him out, and I 100% believe he's a far better starter than Remmers or Oher ever has been.

Williams has shown nothing so far to say that. Way to small a sample size.

Yeah, from what I understand, the fact that he hasn't passed the protocol yet is a bit misleading because he hasn't attempted to pass it since the season ended. I could be wrong though.

If that is not the case, then I want the dude to retire. Don't want to see anyone die out there.

I'd keep him anyway as a backup LT. Push Kalil. Kalil has an injury history too

Can someone clear this up for me?  Did he fail 6 months ago and hasn't taken a test to see if he has cleared or is he taking a test every week and continues to fail?

I can't speak for the NFL concussion protocol, but I know my wife was doing Dr visits every 2 weeks for her grade 2 concussion. Her symptoms hung around for months. Once his specialist clears him, then I would think he would approach the NFL for testing.

I dont like this at all.  Unless they fibbed a little bit on how serious the original concussion was, I thought it was best he just go ahead and retire.  The symptoms he had, again if true, were downright scary.  While I would be intrigued to see what the line would look like with Kalil and Oher on the edges, I think it is also worth noting that even if healthy, there is a school of thought that part of the reason Oher regressed from his rookie season until arriving here was because he had never spent consecutive seasons at the same position.  He flip-flopped every year, IIRC, between LT and RT, and many believe that is why he struggled prior to signing here.  So, again, even if healthy, he'd be right back to switching from LT to RT.
