Former Panthers cornerback and current free agent Leonard Johnson has a spark for the culinary arts. Whipping up some of the most exquisite meals from scratch and "making magic," he's a debonair chef disguised as a football player.

Cam Newton also has a liking towards the culinary arts; primarily eating its delicious creations.

Becoming teammates has opened a gate of friendship towards each other. A while back, Leonard Johnson asked Cam Newton if would be able to come over and help with some cooking one day. Cam Newton agreed, and the rest is history.

A match made in the kitchen, these two share a close bond that extends beyond the football field. With Cam Newton attempting to help the best he can, while Leonard Johnson does his magic, these two work together like bread and butter.

In the following video, Leonard Johnson and Cam Newton share their experience, and how to cook up a tasty shrimp-and-lobster-stuffed salmon dish.

A friendship that began in the kitchen.

One day, in the (probable) near future, when LJ's professional football career is done, he and/or his agent ought to dial up Food Network/Cooking Channel.

I bet they'd love to somehow fit a former pro footballer with culinary skills somewhere on one of their shows.

    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
    • This was evident first two weeks of season. I don’t see any issues with physical tools since he came back. I think he is a player that must play with confidence to overcome those size limitations and he’s doing that.
    • Still 3-10 on passes over 15 yards.  At least he's not scared to merely attempt them anymore.  Where I see improvement is the 10-15 yard range.  He was 6-6.  Bryce of old was scatter shot on anything beyond 10 yards and the further out, the worse the accuracy.
