Usually when someone's floor is better than a player with actual NFL production, that player usually enters the league at said position.

Yeah, it's not like we've ever seen an example of a guy who was primarily just a special teamer his first few years get a shot to play receiver and turn into a productive player.

I mean, when has that ever happened? It certainly wouldn't happen on this team.

If by first few years you mean 1 year and by his 3rd year was 1000yd receiver then yea.

And actually drafted(in the 3rd round) then yea.

I mean, when is a 3rd round pick ever expected to contribute at the position he was drafted? Get a shot he says lol....3rd round fugin pick.

This is hilarious.

Point being that players develop.

Why is Mario Addison worth more money now? Ditto Lorenzo Alexander, A J Klein or various others who have cashed in on flashes of potential or "breakout" seasons.

Some guys are pro starter ready right off the bat. Others take time. You take the chance on the guys that you believe are ready to take the next step, and when you're right it can pay really big dividends.

He starts on STs and will be a pro bowler there.

Most of this is in response to his floor being Brown.

You think his floor is Philly Brown level?

I'm expecting him to be a number four receiver.

Better at it than Brown? Based on his recent seasons, yes it's possible.

So based on Shepards last year of:

REC

23

YDS

341

AVG

14.8

TDS

2

And Browns last year of:

REC

27

YDS

276

AVG

10.2

TDS

1

And Shepards 2015 of:

REC

3

YDS

28

AVG

9.3

TDS

1

And Browns 2015 of:

REC

31

YDS

441

AVG

14.4

TDS

4

And Shepards "tape" vs not posted "tape" of Brown....this is the evidence to presume such? Just making sure we're all on the same page.

Philly Brown is easily replaceable.

Cool story bro has nothing to do with the conversation, most of our WRs are easily replaceable.

No one said Philly Brown is good.
