Shepard contract details

Wow...that's basically the same contract that the Saints gave to Ted Ginn.

Not upset that we signed Shepard.  But I certainly don't understand allocating that money to Shepard over Ginn, given that TG was the best receiver on our team the past two seasons - and he played a key role on special teams.

He also dropped a lot of gimme touchdowns too

That one comment speaks volumes of how bad our WRs were and STs.

Ginn is a subpar receiver on any other team in the NFL and he was one of our best?

Plus his returning punts consisted of fair catches and not getting up to fair catch short punts  turning them into us losing field position. Or him actually returning one and streaking to sidelines as fast as he could.

I hope Shepard turns out to be a good one for us , ain't like There's a huge standard there

He honestly has more value overall than Ginn or Brown, so I can see why.

Not that bad of a deal for a guy who has a ton of upside and versatile everywhere.

Not even close and that's coming from someone who wanted to see Ginn replaced.

Ginn's ability to field punts (just catching the ball) sadly brought a lot of value to this team. That's not even including teams actually having to game plan for Ginn's speed on offense. I assure you there won't be a single team game planning for the great Russell Shepard on O

I really don't know how you can even think Shepard has anywhere close the value Ginn has

Ginn was an awful awful punt returner, I'd rather have Bersin doing it
